Product Classification Tool

Throughout the course of this project, I held focus groups, conducted surveys and user interviews, and held monthly product demonstrations with associates across 9 programs in the organization to continuously iterate over 4 major versions from their feedback and my findings.

Product Testing Acquisition Service

I had many discussions with my partners about where to effectively introduce the new method of obtaining product testing to drive adoption and make it as accessible as possible to sellers.

After working through our differing opinions, we ultimately agreed with my stance to integrate it directly into the main compliance page of the Amazon Service Provider Network (SPN) because that is where sellers are already accustomed to searching for testing services with their current method. We faced obstacles of how we could add this feature due to external bandwidth and technical constraints, however after I met and explained our proposal with different owners of SPN we got approved for integration

The user flow diagram I created to outline the steps sellers needed to follow in order to first determine if their products were eligible the new testing acquisition method, how to proceed if they are, along with all possible outcomes

Product Compliance Dashboard

User Flow Diagram

The user flow diagram I created to outline all the steps needed to register, login, and perform corresponding actions on the dashboard depending on user role of either program manager or regulator.

I created this to give my partners a clearer understanding of how each function intertwined with each other.

Concept Mockups

I delivered concept mockups that we continuously made adjustments to and used as a visual aid to present to the director during our project proposal. The mockups helped him have a clear understanding of what the team envisioned and got greenlit for development.

Other Contributions

Developed team’s project proposal intake system

Originally my team had no standardized way to organize and track progress on projects.

I created the team’s project intake system with Asana and wrote standard operation procedure (SOP) document on how cross-functional partners should submit project requests.

Partners would fill out the form according to the guidelines I provided and the system would automatically funnel project proposals into the appropriate categories per function using parameters that I set.

This system improved team work stream organization, scheduling, and tracking of project progress and communication with stakeholders.

Presented during international organization-wide summit to educate the benefits of user-centered design

I was invited to give a presentation during an organization-wide summit at the Amazon London headquarters on behalf of the Seattle Product Compliance design team.

The purpose of my presentation was to improve the effectiveness of cross-functional collaboration by educating partners unfamiliar with user-centered design on its principles and how prioritizing it can help achieve business objectives.
